Trade and Sustainability Hub
Our Trade and Sustainability Hub is an initiative that seeks to foster dialogue and discussion on how to ensure trade policies contribute to sustainable development. We gather a global community of stakeholders to develop and discuss innovative solutions to challenges we face in reconciling trade, inclusivity, and the environment.
Our events are scheduled to coincide with the World Trade Organization (WTO)’s Ministerial Conferences, which bring together all WTO members to make important decisions on global trade rules. We cover a variety of topics ranging from subsidies reform and environmental trade initiatives, to building more resilient food systems and supply chains.
Our inaugural conference took place from December 1 to 3, 2021, and our second conference took place from June 13 to 15, 2022.
Partners
IISD’s Trade and Sustainability Hub events are hosted in partnership with CUTS International, Geneva and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES). Event sponsors have included the UK Government, the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Government of Finland, and the Pew Charitable Trusts.
