Exploring Opportunities: Round table with Malagasy organic cocoa and Canadian businesses
As part of IISD’s engagement with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock from the Government of Madagascar to support the implementation of the National Strategy on Organic Agriculture, we organized a closed round table that brought together policy officials, Madagascar’s organic cocoa producers and exporters, and Canadian buyers interested in supporting the organic market and enhancing direct trade to benefit small-scale producers and cooperatives.
Participants explored partnership opportunities, exchanged insights, and highlighted the unique value of Madagascar’s organic cocoa industry in supporting climate, nature, and livelihoods.
