Virtual Meeting | COVID-19 & Global Food Security Implications (English Version)
The Ceres2030 project—a joint initiative by the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), and Cornell University—hosted a virtual meeting to foster a reflection on the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic for global food security.
As the lock-downs continue and the commentaries on food security and COVID-19 start to come in, what are we learning? What do we know, what trends are suggestive, and what is still unknown? Our discussion focused on the implications of COVID-19 for agriculture and food systems, now and into the future.
