Renforcement des capacités des experts des Etats membres de l’UEMOA
La Commission de l’Union Economique et Monétaire Ouest Africaine (UEMOA), en partenariat avec l'Institut International du Développement Durable (IISD), a organisé du 29 juin au 1er juillet 2016 à Ouagadougou, un atelier de formation sur les Traités Bilatéraux d’Investissement (TBI).
Cette formation a porté notamment sur les fondements des TBI, leurs enjeux et leurs principales dispositions appelant une attention toute particulière.
Animée par trois (03) experts internationaux d’IISD, la formation a combiné des présentations sur les questions clés, des exercices pratiques et des partages d’expériences entre les participants ainsi qu’une analyse des TBI conclus entre les Etats membres de l’UEMOA et d’autres pays.
La formation a permis de renforcer les connaissances des vingt-cinq (25) participants dans la perspective d’aboutir à de meilleurs traités alignés sur les intérêts et priorités des Etats membres de l’UEMOA, ainsi que leurs objectifs de développement durable.
A l’issue de l’atelier, les experts ont adopté une feuille de route pour une stratégie régionale en matière de Traités Bilatéraux d’Investissement.
