The Investment Policy Forum is the world's only annual event exclusively for investment policy-makers from developing countries.

This unique annual event convenes government officials from over 50 countries, as well as leading investment law experts, representatives of regional and international organizations, and members of civil society.

Coherence – The Investment Policy Forum's new supra theme

Since its inception in 2007, the Investment Policy Forum has played a key role in challenging opposition to reforming the international investment regime to support sustainable development goals.

Today, there is a different but equally formidable challenge: to harness the ongoing momentum for investment law reform.

Many international reform processes are coming to an end in the coming years, and a growing number of countries are launching national reforms. However, these efforts continue to be fragmented across multiple arenas and with different objectives.

Against this backdrop, the Investment Policy Forum's supra theme for the coming years will be fostering coherence for sustainable investment governance. Guided by the new supra theme, the Investment Policy Forum aims to become a focal point for efforts to create coherent and sustainable investment governance reform worldwide.
