Webinars on Investment Law and Policy
Officials from developing country governments and regional organizations need to access information on developments in international investment law and policy to negotiate better treaties and contracts—and prepare for and manage investment disputes.
This is why IISD is hosting a webinar series on investment law and policy for negotiators and officials involved in investment disputes. Experts, academics and practitioners who specialize in international investment law and policy will discuss a range of issues arising in investment negotiations and dispute settlement.
The webinars will cover themes such as ongoing negotiation or reform processes at the international and regional levels, the evolution of substantive standards in international investment law, the development of criteria for investment that advance sustainable development, innovative approaches to investment-related dispute settlement processes and more.
The third webinar in this series, Developing and negotiation based on a model investment treaty, took place Tuesday, October 9, at 9:00 a.m. UTC / 11:00 a.m. CET. You can watch a recording of the webinar below.
The second webinar in the series, Investment Facilitation – Making sense of concepts, discussions and processes, took place Tuesday, July 10, at 15:00 CEST. You can watch a recording of the webinar below.
