Sita Primadevi
Senior Policy Advisor
Sita Primadevi is a senior policy advisor at IISD, contributing to the Energy Program’s work on public financial flows. She supports major policy research and engagement initiatives in Indonesia, including Emissions Ambition for Sustainable Economies in Southeast Asia (EASE-SEA) and Energy is the Key to a Climate Stable Future (EnerKey), with a focus on carbon pricing and transport electrification. Her work also advances regional collaboration efforts in the Philippines and Vietnam.
Sita is a climate and sustainability researcher whose expertise lies in integrating economic modelling, fiscal policy analysis, and governance frameworks to develop credible policy pathways at the national and subnational levels. Before joining IISD, she contributed to the development of capacity-building materials on carbon pricing and supported the design and analytical assessment of national carbon offset systems in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia and Malaysia. More recently, she has provided technical support to Indonesia’s Ministry of Finance in developing the national carbon tax roadmap and guidance for subnational governments on energy transition planning and financing strategies.
Sita holds a Master of Public Affairs from the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University Bloomington (2024), with a specialization in climate and energy finance.
