Mark Raven
Senior Communications Officer
Mark Raven is a senior communications officer with IISD’s Energy Program.
Mark has over 15 years of experience delivering international communications strategies, campaigns, and stakeholder engagement across Europe and globally. He brings a strong passion for storytelling and narrative development, using strategic communications to make complex policy issues clear, compelling, and accessible.
Prior to joining IISD, he served at 350.org, where he led cross-regional communications initiatives on climate and just transition, including successful campaigns to tackle fossil fuel finance. He has also held roles with Global Call for Climate Action and Climate Action Network International, coordinating communications for major international policy processes, including UN climate negotiations. Mark has particular expertise in translating complex research into clear, accessible content, as well as managing communications for large, multi-partner networks.
Mark holds a master’s degree in environment and development from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is based in London, United Kingdom.
