Krista Robertson

Biologist, IISD-ELA

Krista Robertson is a biologist with the toxicology team at IISD Experimental Lakes Area.

She supports IISD-ELA’s toxicology team in wetland related research including shoreline oil spill response planning, wetland restoration, and wetland biodiversity monitoring using eDNA. Krista has previously held research assistant positions working on fish toxicology with IISD-ELA, which involved field sampling, statistical analyses, and graphical representation of data.

Her Master of Science research formed part of IISD-ELA’s research into wild rice. Specifically, her research investigated the toxicity of aquaculture wastewater effluent on the cellular stress responses of small-bodied fish.

She holds a Master of Science in biological sciences from the University of Manitoba and an Honours Bachelor of Science in biology from Queen’s University.
