Ketaki Zodgekar

Ketaki Zodgekar is a policy advisor within IISD's Economic Law and Policy Program, focusing on green fiscal policy.

In her position, Ketaki supports IISD’s role as technical lead to the Santa Marta Coalition’s workstream on the international financial system and macroeconomic dependencies, advising country governments on fiscal policy tools that support a just energy transition and mobilize green investment. She also delivers technical assistance on carbon pricing to governments, including Indonesia, Viet Nam, and the Philippines through the Emissions Ambition for Sustainable Economies (EASE) project, with policy papers, economic modelling, workshops, and training.

Prior to joining IISD, Ketaki worked at Chatham House’s Sustainability Accelerator, leading workstreams on decision making under uncertainty and foresight planning. She also served as senior program associate at the Growald Climate Fund, where she managed grantmaking portfolios to civil society organizations advancing the global energy transition. Her prior work spans international tax governance, social movements, and UK government effectiveness, with experience across the Climate and Community Project, Harvard Kennedy School, and the Institute for Government.  

Ketaki holds a master's in public policy from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government, where she was a Frank Knox Memorial Fellow. She received an undergraduate degree in philosophy and politics from the University of Edinburgh, through which she spent a year studying at Barnard College, Columbia University.
