Katie Browne
Team Leader, Writer
Katie Browne is a Team Leader and Writer with Earth Negotiations Bulletin, as well as a Ph.D candidate at the University of Michigan in the United States. Katie’s research focuses on climate finance and the politics of climate adaptation, with an emphasis on institutional capacity-building in highly vulnerable countries.
Katie has conducted extensive fieldwork in the Western Indian Ocean region. She completed a Fulbright-Hays Fellowship in Madagascar in 2019, and a Fulbright Fellowship in Mauritius in 2020. She previously served in the United States’ Peace Corps in Madagascar from 2010-2013, where she worked with national parks and environmental NGOs on youth environmental education programs.
With Earth Negotiations Bulletin since 2016, Katie regularly covers the climate change negotiations, specializing in climate finance, transparency, and adaptation.
