Facundo Calvo

Policy Analyst

Facundo Calvo is a policy analyst in trade and agriculture at the International Institute for Sustainable Development in Geneva, Switzerland. His work focuses on trade policy and agriculture, World Trade Organization (WTO) agriculture negotiations, and sustainable trade in food and agriculture.

Before joining IISD, Facundo served as an agricultural advisor at the Permanent Mission of Argentina to the WTO, where he took part in the WTO agriculture negotiations and market access negotiations for agricultural products in the context of Brexit and WTO accessions.

He holds a master's degree in international economic law and policy from the University of Barcelona (IELPO LL.M.), a master’s degree in international economic relations from the Latin American School of Social Sciences, and a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the Universidad de San Andrés in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

He speaks English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese.
