Daniela Salazar Díaz
Project Assistant
Daniela Salazar Díaz is a project assistant with IISD's Economic, Law, and Policy program. She specializes in climate action, sustainable resource management, and international cooperation, focusing on developing strategies for anticipatory action and early warning systems.
With extensive experience in sustainable development and environmental protection, Daniela has worked across different sectors, including government agencies and non-governmental organizations. Before joining IISD, she also worked with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies' Climate, Environment, Urban and Resilience Unit on Early Warning and Anticipatory Action in related communications and event management, as well as supporting the coordination activities of Pillar 4 of the Early Warning for All initiative.
Daniela Salazar studied international relations at the University of Rosario in Colombia. She holds two master’s degrees: one in international cooperation and development from the Institute of Political Studies of Bordeaux, and the other in development studies from the Geneva Graduate Institute.
Daniela is based in Geneva and is fluent in Spanish, English, and French.
