Courtney Smith

Communications Officer

Courtney Smith is a communications officer for the Resilience program. She enhances how IISD delivers its research and knowledge on the topic of adaptation as a way of managing the negative impacts of climate change and risks of conflicts. She also works closely with the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) Global Network.

With a varied background as a communications specialist, journalist, writer, and content creator, Courtney has developed compelling messages for a wide array of target audiences. She previously coordinated bilingual communications for the Glendon Campus at York University, as well as assisted with social media and communications for the Pacific Institute for Studies in Development, Environment and Security. Courtney also obtained her master's degree in public and international affairs at York University.
