Angela Picciariello
Senior Researcher
Angela is a senior researcher in IISD's Energy Program. Her work focuses on fossil fuel supply, including the policy and financial implications of net-zero emissions scenarios, energy transition opportunities for national oil companies, and national and international public finance for fossil fuels.
Prior to joining IISD, Angela worked as a policy analyst and researcher at the United Kingdom Office of Gas and Electricity Markets, Oxfam GB, and ODI on a number of topics related to energy, climate change, tax justice, and inequality.
Based in Rome, Angela holds a master's degree in inequality and social science from the London School of Economics (London) and a doctoral degree from the Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm). She is fluent in Italian, English, and Spanish.
