This webinar examined the findings of the report "Commodity Trading: Understanding the tax-related challenges for home and host countries". It was held on December 3, 2019, at 3 PM CET / 9 AM EST.
The event speakers outlined the results of an extensive literature review and series of interviews of commodity traders in the minerals and metals sector, looking at what tax risks may exist for home and host countries and options for mitigating them.
The webinar featured Anton Löf of RMG Consulting, one of the report's authors, as a speaker. Howard Mann, Senior International Law Advisor at IISD, moderated. Véronique Bourquin, Policy Advisor at the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, was a commentator.
