FfD4 Side Event | Navigating Uncertainty: Implementing the 4th Financing for Development Agenda in a Fragmented World
This high-level panel will explore how to implement the FfD4 agenda in a way that is resilient and future-proof, despite today’s fragmented and volatile global landscape.
On July 2, 2025, the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) and the Reinventing Bretton Woods Committee (RBWC) will host an in-person side event during the FfD4 conference in Seville.
At the event, IISD will present new research on the most important sources of development finance, introducing a strategic framework linking these sources with actionable policy strategies that can future-proof development finance, making it more resilience, adaptable and impactful over the next decade.
The side event aims to:
- Provide a platform for stakeholders to discuss a new approach to global economic governance, including changes to the international financial architecture and implications for the next decade of development finance.
- Present an approach to implementing FfD4 that prioritizes sources of finance and policy actions based on probability of success, and maximum impact.
