ALivE: A new tool for Ecosystem-based Adaptation
There’s an urgent need to prepare ecosystems for climate change impacts. Healthy ecosystems are critical for sustaining livelihoods. They also increase our capacity to adapt to climate change.
"The experiment, performed at the International Institute for Sustainable Development Experimental Lakes Areas, is giving scientists their first chance to work at scale on monitoring the impact of a spill of the dense crude oil, called diluted bitumen, on this sensitive ecosystem, which is widespread throughout the country."
