IISD and the Partnership on Procurement and Green Growth are undertaking an investigation to examine the tipping point at which public procurement can serve as a trigger for green industrial innovation, expansion and growth. The findings will be packaged as a compendium on current practice with recommendations on how policies and market signals can be better aligned to enable procurement to serve as a more potent trigger of green innovation and growth.This paper represents the half-way mark of the study and presents preliminary findings and early case studies that have emerged from consultations and research conducted by IISD and members of the Partnership for Procurement and Green Growth.
