Nicole Jang

Policy Analyst I

Nicole is a policy analyst with IISD's Resilience program. Based in Vancouver, she supports the team’s work in climate change adaptation and advancing equitable nature-based solutions.  

Prior to joining IISD, Nicole worked as a research assistant at Simon Fraser University. She partnered with local municipalities on projects focused on urban resilience and green infrastructure to help inform planning and decision-making processes. Her previous experience also includes coordination for a network of environmental organizations, First Nations, academic institutions, and local governments.

She holds a Master of Science in environmental management and physical planning from Stockholm University and a Bachelor of Arts in geography with a focus on environment and sustainability from the University of British Columbia. Her primary research examined how to integrate social equity considerations into green infrastructure planning in the City of Vancouver.
