Laurel Neme is an environmental consultant and writer, as well as a trained economist. She has worked for US Treasury Department, USAID, NGOs and others on natural resource management and policy in Africa and elsewhere. She is currently writing a narrative non-fiction book on wildlife trade and forensics. Laurel lives with her husband and son in Vermont and holds a PhD from Princeton University and an MPP from University of Michigan.
