Hrishabh Chandra

Policy Analyst

Hrishabh is a policy analyst with IISD's Energy program. Based in India, his work centres on policy support for solar irrigation, focusing on enhancing irrigation access, particularly for marginalized farmers in India.

Hrishabh has a bachelor’s degree in technology in civil engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur and a master’s degree in regulatory policy and governance from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.

In his previous roles, Hrishabh has worked on electric vehicle charging infrastructure in cities and freight corridors. He also worked on preparing low-carbon development frameworks for the states of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, focusing on rural agricultural value chains, decarbonizing the processing stages, and strengthening local communities.
