Bernard Soubry (Dr.)

Bernard Soubry is a researcher, writer, and part-time farmer from Canada whose work focuses on the intersection of climate change and food systems. A writer with Earth Negotiations Bulletin since 2018, he follows climate and biodiversity governance processes, with particular interests in agriculture, climate mitigation, and the role of science in negotiations.


Beyond his time with ENB, Bernard also lends his hands as a bicycle mechanic and as a farmer and field-hand. He occasionally publishes poetry. He holds a D.Phil and M.Phil from the University of Oxford (UK) and a Bachelor's degree from Mount Allison University (Canada). He owns a food dehydrator and he's not afraid to use it.
