Methodology
Global Commodity Chain Sustainability Analysis
A unique methodology, built on a "Global Commodity Chain Sustainability Analysis," has been developed for three global supply chain studies. This methodology, a hybrid methodology borrowing heavily from Life-cycle Analysis and Global Commodity Chain Analysis, requires research teams to gather data and analysis along six themes with respect to each product chain:
- existing global and national policy framework;
- supply and demand statistics;
- structure of the supply chain;
- environmental impacts of supply chain activity;
- social impacts of the supply chain activity; and
- potential policy (private and public policy) responses.
