On June 3, 2025, Switzerland and Chile concluded a new bilateral investment treaty aimed at reinforcing protections for Swiss investors operating in Chile and vice versa. The treaty will replace the existing bilateral investment treaty between the two countries. The text of the agreement is not available at the moment; however, it is understood that it contains standards on non-discrimination, regulatory autonomy, and dispute resolution, among other areas.
