The United Kingdom has adopted a revision to its Arbitration Act. Among the revisions, the new Arbitration Act 2025 contains new provisions regarding the law applicable to arbitration agreements, specifically targeting treaty based arbitrations, statutory codification of a duty of disclosure, new rules on summary dismissal (“disposal”), and rules to be used by emergency arbitrators.
