Twenty Years After Brundtland

Outputs from 2007 Conference: Facing Forward - Looking Back

On October 18-19, 2007, the International Institute for Sustainable Development, the Carleton Research Unit on Innovation, Science and the Environment (CRUISE) and the Canada Research Chair in Governance for Sustainable Development joined forces to present the "Facing Forward - Looking Back" conference. This unique event focused on the events of the past twenty years of sustainable development in Canada since the publication of Our Common Future, known as the Brundtland report. As the numerous experts discussed the issues it was clear that only by recognizing our past can Canada see the way to its sustainable future. Below you will find the presentations from the conference as well as one of the reports. More documents will be provided at this site as they become available.
