IISD strives to provide access to credible and timely information regarding climate change, energy and sustainable development that is accessible to the public as well as experts in the field. This includes up-to-date coverage of the latest happenings within the international climate change negotiations as well as presentation of the knowledge gained through the activities of the institute's Climate Change and Energy Program team. Earth Negotiations Bulletin. The ENB provides neutral and authoritative daily coverage of multilateral negotiations on environment development, including current and archived reporting on climate change meetings of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
Your Meeting Bulletin. Provides coverage of conferences, workshops, symposia or regional meetings outside the UN process that provide important inputs into the policy-making process.

On January 28th, 2008, the Director of IISD's Climate Change and Energy Program, John Drexhage, spoke to the Standing Committee about the outcomes relating to the 13th United Nations Climate Conference in Bali, Indonesia and its implications for Canada's role in the next two years of international climate negotiations.
Climate Change and Forced Migration: Observations, Projections and Implications
Written by Oli Brown as a thematic paper for the 2007/2008 Human Development Report of the UNDP, "Fighting Climate Change: Human Solidarity in a Divided World," this report investigates the differing projections for forced migration over the next 50 years through an analysis of three broad scenarios. It also discusses the problem of prediction and analyzes the development implications of large-scale migration.
Climate Change as the "New" Security Threat: Implications for Africa (PDF - 133 kb)
Once an environmental issue, then an energy problem, climate change is now being recast as a security threat. Africa is particularly vulnerable – with its history of resource, ethnic and interstate conflict. This article for the journal International Affairs charts the dimensions of the climate security challenge in Africa and analyzes the role of adaptation policies in future conflict prevention.
