Kiranne Guddoy

Communications Officer, Economic Law & Policy

Kiranne Guddoy is a Communications Officer in IISD’s Economic Law and Policy Program and works to develop the program’s visibility and impact, as well as influence decision-makers to create positive change. She works on topics related to nature-based solutions, sustainable finance, trade and agriculture.

She has worked in various capacities at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development (ICTSD), the French Trade Commission, and the French Senate.

Her work experience includes developing strategic communications plans, cultivating reputational value, and implementing PR strategies to raise awareness on sustainability issues among key decision-makers in developing countries.

Some highlights of her career include launching key projects such as the Ceres2030 (an initiative funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation) and the Nature-Based Infrastructure Global Resource Centre, organizing and promoting high-level UN events, managing publications, reporting on the WTO Ministerial Conference, writing speeches for the UNCTAD Secretary-General.

Kiranne is bilingual in French and English and holds multiple citizenships from France, Mauritius, and India.
