Kiranne Guddoy is a Communications Officer in IISD’s Economic Law and Policy Program and works to develop the program’s visibility and impact, as well as influence decision-makers to create positive change.
She has worked in various capacities at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development (ICTSD), the French Trade Commission, and the French Senate.
Her work experience includes developing strategic communications plans, cultivating reputational value, and implementing PR strategies to raise awareness on sustainability issues among key decision-makers in developing countries.
Some highlights of her career include organizing and promoting high-level UN events, creating Bridges Africa—a landmark publication focused on African trade issues, reporting on the WTO Ministerial Conference, writing speeches for the UNCTAD Secretary-General, and enhancing the impact of key trade policy analysis through the use of new media.
Kiranne is bilingual in French and English and holds multiple citizenships from France, Mauritius, and India.
