Julia Donaldson

Research Assistant

Julia Donaldson is a research assistant with IISD's Resilience program.

She manages NAP Trends, the database for the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) Global Network, and assists the Resilience team with its research on climate change adaptation, intersecting with issues of gender, health, and conflict. Julia also collaborates with the IDRC project Mobilizing Development Finance for Strategic and Scaled-up Investment in Climate Adaptation

Before becoming a research assistant, Julia completed an extended co-op as a communications assistant for the Resilience program. Her previous experience involves administration and research for organizations such as Simon Fraser University, Canada Border Services Agency, and Amnesty International.

Julia holds a Bachelor of Arts in international studies from Simon Fraser University, where she also worked as Research Assistant for International Studies from November 2021 to May 2022. Her areas of interest and expertise include international relations, climate security, and gender.
