The outcome of the referendum demonstrates strong public support for Ecuador\u2019s cautious and balanced approach to <span class='tooltipsall tooltipsincontent classtoolTips43'>ISDS<\/span>. The citizens of Ecuador have signalled to policy-makers in the country and the region that ISDS is not a necessity.
