This is the first official outcome of the UNCITRAL Working Group III on Reform of <span class='tooltipsall tooltipsincontent classtoolTips43'>ISDS<\/span> since it commenced its work in 2017. While the Code of Conduct was considered by many a low-hanging fruit, the negotiations have proved complex (for analysis, see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iisd.org\/itn\/en\/2023\/04\/02\/nothing-is-agreed-until-everything-is-agreed-the-code-of-conduct-and-reflections-on-the-44th-session-of-the-uncitral-working-group-iii\/\">here<\/a>). The resulting compromise leaves much to be desired and tends to codify the existing status quo rather than forging a new reform path.
