The treaty will replace the existing <a href=\"https:\/\/investmentpolicy.unctad.org\/international-investment-agreements\/treaties\/bilateral-investment-treaties\/871\/chile---switzerland-bit-1999-\">bilateral investment treaty<\/a> between the two countries.
