Su mandato comenzar\u00e1 el 1 de julio de 2024, cuando suceda a Meg Kinnear, que ocup\u00f3 el cargo de Secretaria General del CIADI de 2009 a 2024. Polasek tiene doble nacionalidad checa y sueca y se incorpor\u00f3 al CIADI en 2001.
