Dilber Yunus

Indigenous Relations Manager, IISD-ELA

Dilber is IISD Experimental Lakes Area's indigenous relations manager.

Her work prioritizes building meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities and individuals in Treaty #3. Dilber has education and experience in interdisciplinary research in environmental engineering and water resources management, which informs her understanding of IISD Experimental Lakes Area’s mandate and research.

She joined IISD-ELA in 2015 to build donor relations database as the site transitioned to non-profit status. Later in 2018, she became part of IISD-ELA’s education and outreach team. Through her outreach work, Dilber focuses on project collaboration with Indigenous partners, learning from knowledge keepers and looking for ways to braid different ways of knowing.
