Our whole-ecosystem approach is a multi-disciplinary effort which allows us to collect biological, environmental and meteorological data to address important issues faced by global communities<\/h2>\n

At IISD-ELA we believe in the philosophy that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Our approach to studying the environment involves collecting data from all levels of the ecosystem and understanding how it all interacts. From looking at the effect of annual air temperature on ice formation on lakes to calculating how much oxygen is being produced by algae within lakes we are always pushing to learn more.<\/p>\n
