Leadership Change at IISD Reporting Services

The organization remains absolutely dedicated to building upon the tremendous legacy of ENB while advancing innovative ways to deliver trusted information going forward.

January 13, 2019

The International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) today announces a change in leadership of its Reporting Services. Langston James "Kimo" Goree VI, who co-founded the Earth Negotiations Bulletin (ENB), has completed his professional relationship with IISD.

As IISD begins a search for a new director of ENB, the full schedule of coverage of all meetings planned in 2019 will remain uninterrupted. The organization remains absolutely dedicated to building upon the tremendous legacy of ENB while advancing innovative ways to deliver trusted information going forward.

In the interim, Lynn Wagner, IISD’s Group Director of the SDG Knowledge Hub, will oversee all ENB operations, supported by Peter Wooders, IISD’s Group Director of the Energy Program, who will manage partner and donor relations.

Since co-founding ENB in 1992, Kimo has been responsible for remarkable achievements in providing rigorous, trusted and in-depth coverage and analysis of the international environmental agenda, making international environmental, climate, sustainable development and conservation negotiations more transparent and accountable.

ENB marked its 25th anniversary in 2017, during which time more than 3,000 international negotiations and meetings have been covered. Throughout this quarter century, Kimo provided strong, dedicated and tireless leadership.

IISD is indebted to Kimo for his efforts to position ENB as a go-to global resource. The IISD Board of Directors and senior management extend sincere thanks and warm wishes to Kimo as he takes on new challenges and endeavours.
