Veronica Lo is a consultant and researcher who has worked on climate change, biodiversity, and sustainable development for UN agencies and other organizations. She is currently working towards her PhD, investigating impacts of human activities on coastal ecosystem services, as part of the European MARES Joint Doctoral Programme on Marine Ecosystem Health and Conservation. Veronica previously worked at the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity, where she coordinated an initiative aimed at increasing awareness of the Rio Conventions and the connections between climate change, sustainable land management and biodiversity. Veronica has experience in marine conservation planning on the west Coast of Canada, working for the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society, and has also served as an instructor for a web-based climate change science course at the University of British Columbia.
