Patrick Guerdat

Policy Advisor

Patrick Guerdat is a policy advisor with the IISD Resilience Program. His work focuses on the coordination of technical support on climate change adaptation, as well as policy research and analysis on resilience and National Adaptation Plan processes. This includes providing support to developing countries on how to measure and report on the progress made in reducing their vulnerabilities to the impacts of climate change and how to better manage the risks posed to people, ecosystems, and the economy through monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems.

Patrick brings a strong background in risk and environmental project management to IISD, having previously worked at the United Nations Environment Programme and in the Indigenous Peoples and minorities section of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights. He has also worked as an independent cartographer and music educator.
