Ken Sandilands

Biologist - Field Coordinator, IISD-ELA

Ken has over 20 years of experience researching the lakes, wetlands and waterfowl of Manitoba and Ontario. In his work with Fisheries and Oceans Canada and Ducks Unlimited, Ken has worked as an aquatic ecologist studying how to preserve and incorporate prairie wetlands into urban design; determining watershed areas; managing the Lake Sampling program at ELA; and coordinating field sampling activities for the METAALICUS project. He has detailed experience working with GIS technology and has had his research published in Global Geometrical Cycles and Archiv für Hydrobiologie.
