David Hoffmann is a Policy Analyst with the NAP Global Network under the Resilience Program. He has a background in policy research, public sector evaluation and project management, as well as eight months of field research in Southeast Asia. His specialties include policy analysis and research experience in the fields of sustainable urban development, community-led development and adaptation strategies, as well as project management and coordination of international development projects. Prior to joining IISD, David worked with the GFA Consulting Group in Hamburg where he coordinated a GIZ project implemented in Colombia that focused on promoting green businesses outside of the capital to provide livelihood alternatives for the rural population while limiting deforestation and fostering social cohesion. He is fluent in English, French, Spanish and German.
