Céline Bak is a global leader on the business impacts of climate change. She has addressed international audiences and served clients in such countries as the US, China, Korea, Japan, Mexico, France and Germany on topics ranging from innovation to the impact climate change on business, and from global trade in environmental goods to sustainable finance.
Céline is the Founder and President of Analytica Advisors, a consulting firm focused on research and consulting for private and public-sector leaders. In 2007 she recognized innovation-based industries were poorly represented through existing primary economic research and concluded this lack of evidence distorted the lifecycle of innovation-based companies, from incubation and capital raising to securing domestic reference customers and delivering 21st century productivity solutions. To change this, she has authored seven annual evidence-based national reports that have catalyzed the growth of Canada's emerging energy and water technology industry. Her research has changed the investment and policy landscape and has formed the basis of hundreds of millions of dollars in catalytic public program investment.
She is frequently called upon by major media companies, including CNN Money, Agence France Press, Reuters and the New York Times, as well as Canada’s media outlets, from radio and television to print journalism.
Céline is an ambassador for women under the DOE Clean Energy Ministerial C3E Initiative and sits as an independent director at Green Centre Canada and Emissions Reduction Alberta, in addition to chairing the Core Evaluation Team for Genome Canada's Genomic Applications Partnership Program. Céline has been recognized as a Clean16 honoree for her contribution to developing capital markets for sustainability in Canada, as well as by Nature Canada as one of Canada's Women of Nature.
