I am concerned about addressing the issue of power in our society and its institutions and changing institutions so that they recognize and thrive on social/political/cultural diversity in the society.

Changes needed
List of factors we need to address in order to reach sustainability: patriarchy; reverence of old unchanging institutions; hierarchical decision making; we need to know what happens to power in consensus decision making.
