Doug has nicely set the stage with the current benefits of wetlands and the pressures wetlands are facing.
I will now discuss another potential benefit of the prairie wetlands, that is the role as a carbon sink. Most of my presentation will focus on the policies of carbon sequestration and how wetlands fit into to these international agreements. It is because of these agreements that we are here today.
Following this presentation from himself and Doug, the next presenters will focus more on the science of carbon sequestration in a wetland.
