Botswana Institute for Development Policy Analysis (BIDPA) – Botswana
The Botswana Institute for Development Policy Analysis (BIDPA) is a non-governmental research organization established by a deed of trust. The two key areas of BIDPA's mandate are development policy analysis and capacity building. Its aim is to promote policy analysis through research, capacity building, assisting organizations or individuals where appropriate, monitoring the country's economic performance and disseminating policy research results. -
Integrated Environmental Consultants (IECN) – Namibia
IECN is a Namibia-based company specializing in technical and advisory work in the fields of natural resource management, land-use planning, environmental assessments, implementation of environmental conventions and capacity building. -
Namibian Economic Policy Research Unit (NEPRU) – Namibia
NEPRU is an autonomous Namibian research institute that undertakes applied socioeconomic, policy-related research for and on behalf of the government, domestic and international institutions, and the private sector. Its research focus is on fiscal and macroeconomic policy, financial economics and ICT and regional integration, trade and private sector development. -
South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA) – South Africa
SAIIA is the coordinator of TKN's Southern Africa programme. SAIIA is an independent, non-governmental think-tank whose purpose is to encourage wider and more informed awareness of the importance of international affairs. As a centre for research excellence, the institute undertakes research on current issues affecting Africa in various fields (e.g., political governance and the governance of Africa's resources, trade and investment, among others). -
Trade and Industrial Policy Strategies (TIPS) – South Africa
TIPS is an independent, non-profit economic research institution that is active in both the South African and Southern African economic policy arenas, and which co-ordinates a wide network of established researchers. TIPS’s aim is to remain responsive to the local policy environment, government and other clients' research and information needs; to deliver high-quality, policy-relevant research; and to maintain an overt and strong interest in public policy in the areas associated with developing-country economic policy. -
Jesuit Centre for Theological Reflection (JCTR) – Zambia
JCTR is a faith-based and non-governmental organization committed to developing high quality research work on social issues for the sake of promoting integral human development. Some of their thematic research areas are on economic governance, debt and aid and trade. -
Trade and Development Studies Centre Trust (TRADES Centre) – Zimbabwe
TRADES Centre’s focus is on policy-relevant training, research and analysis, particularly on the nexus between trade and development, aid and development, poverty alleviation and welfare in the context of international economic law, Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs), regional trade/economic agreements and national trade and development policies.
