Integrating Mitigation and Adaptation in the Agriculture Sector
There are synergies and trade-offs between mitigation and adaptation in agricultural production systems.
As part of IISD's Food Security and Climate Change Initiative, this paper aims to demonstrate that the agricultural sector offers an opportunity to further triple-dividend objectives through a more holistic, integrated response to climate change.
The report explores opportunities for and barriers to this integrated approach. Finally, the report identifies policy options at the national and international levels that might assist in overcoming these barriers and encourage a transition to agricultural approaches that address both mitigation and adaptation.
