China and Global Markets: Copper Supply Chain Sustainable Development: A Life Cycle Assessment Study

This paper provides a life cycle analysis of the copper production and refining process within China.

The paper concludes that the most important environmental impacts of domestic copper production in China arise at the extraction phase of production. Key strategies for reducing these impacts are related to improved efficiency in extraction and improved collection and recycling policies and processes.
