SDplanNet–Latin America and Caribbean

SDplanNet-Latin America and Caribbean is a an emerging network of government and non-government practitioners in Latin America and the Caribbean who share innovative approaches and tools for integrating sustainable development principles into government development plans, strategies and budgets.

Through its interactive website, the network hosts online learning events, provides members with regular updates on sustainable development planning tools used within the region and around the world, and enables members to blog and exchange ideas on relevant topics.

SDplanNet-LAC is coordinated by Sulá Batsú in Costa Rica and managed by IISD. Funding is provided by Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada. The network is advised by the UNEP - Regional Office for Latin America and Caribbean, the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, UNDP - Panama, the UN Division for Sustainable Development - New York, the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States, the St. Lucia National Trust, the Universidad de Costa Rica and the Universidad Nacional - Costa Rica.
