Thank you to our donors who supported IISD's Capital Campaign, which wrapped up in 2011. The fund supported the establishment of IISD's Water Innovation Centre, the launch of the IISD Impact Centre, innovative projects in our Climate Change and Energy program, the IISD Innovation Fund and IISD's Community Initiatives Fund.

At IISD, we see collaboration as essential to the success of our work in sustainable development. IISD is committed to strong and consistent engagement and impact, though generating and maintaining high levels of public recognition, being open to and seeking out emerging opportunities, promoting diversification of revenue sources, and providing stewardship and accountability. IISD's strategic plan (PDF - 120 KB) themes and goals are aligned with the convictions of our funders, donors and supporters.

IISD recognizes that the world in which we live, work and grow has changed significantly over the past 20 years. Yet, our vision and mission remain as clear and as vital as ever.

Our Vision: Better living for all—sustainably.

Our Mission: To champion innovation, enabling societies to live sustainably.

IISD's WIC is working together with regional, national and international partners to find innovative solutions for water security (including quality, quantity and access) through research and development on solutions for Lake Winnipeg watershed management.
