UN Environment and IISD invite you to a dialogue on the state of the environment in North America and pathways to sustainability.
The event will highlight key findings from the sixth Global Environment Outlook: North American Assessment Report including progress, challenges, and proposed policy responses. The event will also include a discussion on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and reflect on effective action on climate change, renewable energy, and sustainable consumption and production.
Participants will be invited to share their perspectives on national and regional priorities in preparation for the next United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-3) to be held in Nairobi, Kenya in December 2017.
In addition, an election will be held to designate a civil society representative who will be invited to share North American perspectives at the UN Environment Assembly and the annual Global Major Groups and Stakeholders Forum.
